Fuel and Combustion

Fuel and Combustion

The journal of Fuel and Combustion (FC) is a quarterly published scientific and research journal, which was founded in 2008 and is affiliated to Iranian Combustion Institute (ICI). It covers all areas of fuel and combustion and aims to provide an environment to access the latest scientific achievements of the world's researchers in the field of fuel and combustion. The objective of the journal is to publish high-quality research investigations performed theoretically, experimentally, and computationally in all aspects of fuel and combustion phenomena. As we aim to have an influential and high-quality journal, we wish to invite notable authors and researchers in the field to join our endeavor and submit their original research articles, technical reports, review papers, short communications, and editorial notes. All submissions will be peer-reviewed. The journal is published in Farsi with an English abstract. The accepted papers will be immediately available online and subsequently in print. As combustion has a multidisciplinary nature, submissions might be the result of research on different aspects of the fuel and combustion, including but not limited to:

  • New generation fuels, reduced and zero carbon fuels, E-fuels, biofuels, liquid droplets and solid particles
  • Combustion and pollution, pollutants, particulate and aerosol formation
  • Flames, premixed and non-premixed flames, ignition and extinction, laminar and turbulent flames, flame spread, supersonic flows and detonations, multi-phase reactions
  • Combustion and energy Systems, combustion efficiency
  • Internal combustion engines, gas turbine combustion
  •  Novel experimental techniques in combustion measurement and visualization,
  • Homogeneous and heterogeneous combustion
  • Combustion reaction kinetics, catalytic combustion, combustion synthesis
  • Combustion modeling, numerical simulation in combustion.
